Roma 1:16

The Power of the Gospel

1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.¹

Roma 1:23

1:23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image resembling mortal human beings² or birds or four-footed animals³ or reptiles.

Roma 1:32

1:32 Although they fully know⁴ God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die,⁵ they not only do them but also approve of those who practice them.⁶

Roma 2:12

2:12 For all who have sinned apart from the law⁷ will also perish apart from the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

Roma 4:9

4:9 Is this blessedness⁸ then for⁹ the circumcision¹⁰ or also for¹¹ the uncircumcision? For we say, “faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness.”¹²

Roma 5:2

5:14 Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam (who is a type¹⁴ of the coming one) transgressed.¹⁵

Roma 6:13

6:13 and do not present your members to sin as instruments¹⁶ to be used for unrighteousness,¹⁷ but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead and your members to God as instruments¹⁸ to be used for righteousness.

Roma 7:7

7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! Certainly, I¹⁹ would not have known sin except through the law. For indeed I would not have known what it means to desire something belonging to someone else²⁰ if the law had not said, “Do not covet.”²¹

Roma 8:29

8:29 because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son²² would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.²³

Roma 9:17

9:17 For the scripture says to Pharaoh:²⁴ “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may demonstrate my power in you, and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.”²⁵

Roma 9:29

9:29 Just²⁶ as Isaiah predicted,

“If the Lord of armies²⁷ had not left us descendants,

we would have become like Sodom,

and we would have resembled Gomorrah.”²⁸

Roma 15:27

15:27 For they were pleased to do this, and indeed they are indebted to the Jerusalem saints.²⁹ For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.
